Sexy by 8

Today marks the the eight year wedding anniversary for our friend's the Clarks. Congratulations Matt & Megan!
Today was the day eight years ago, Rich, decided it was time to ask me out on our first date after 2 & 1/2 years of constant flirtation  friendship.
 For our first date Rich took me to this great little restaurant, Tides, on Palm Beach Island. We went back there a few times and this is a picture from our second visit during summer 2006.

I can still remember how nervous I was sweaty palms and all which was crazy because we had been such good friends for SO LONG...I still tease my sweet heart about the fact that it took him so long to ask me out, but I am so glad he did!

Sexy by 8 Workout

I realized AFTER I did this workout designed by my trainer, Kyra, that it is 8 circuits of 8 reps each of 8 exercises; and that is was the perfect workout for the 8th anniversary of Rich asking me out; coincidence? I think not my dear Watson.

Eight Rounds: Do 8 reps of each exercise then immediately do 8 reps of the following exercise. Rest briefly at the end of the circuit if needed.
Eight prisoner squats
Eight squat jumps
Eight push ups
Eight high plank knees to elbows (each side)
Eight skate hops each way
Eight plyo lunges
Eight crab taps each side
Eight planks with opposite arm & leg lift
In closing I would be amiss if I did not mention that  I am at loss. I know what is on your mind. It is with in my thoughts as well. A silent sadness I can't shake. I sobbed the whole drive home from work Friday afternoon listening to the President's speech concerning this horrible tragedy over the radio. It is for the community of Newtown, Connecticut and our country that I have a deep sadness during the season of Joy and Hope. My prayers are with the families and this community at large. I pray for peace and healing that only time can bring.
